     Reaching Rural America for Christ will:
          *  Assist congregations in taking intentional steps to help create a positive missional attitude
              and initiate outreach actions.
          *  Celebrate our common heritage.
          *  Examine the impact of ever-changing culture on rural/small town communities.
          *  Build a network for leadership training and ministry support among the districts.
          *  Investigate stewardship attitudes to maximize resources. 
 
Speakers for the event include:
Rev. Dr. Jock Ficken, Lutheran Church Extension Fund VP - "Making Change and Living to Tell About It"
Rev. Scott Snow, Director of Outreach - LCMS World Mission - "Reaching the Lost"
Terry Gerdts, SR. VP Gift Planning Services-LCMS Foundation - "Resourcing Multi-Point Congregations"
Dr. Richard Bimler, Former President of Wheat Ridge Ministries - "Caring for Pastors"
Rev. Eugene Ernst, Pastor - Worship Leader
 
 
     There will be specific breakout workshops for congregations: 1) with average worship attendance
     under 100, 2) average worship attendance over 101, and 3) multi-point parishes.
 
 
            Cost per participant: $300.00 includes 2 nights lodging (modern housekeeping cabins and
                                   lodge guest rooms), 6 meals, banquet, and all materials.
